The crossarm clamp is part of a ramp's support assembly and is responsible for holding the crossarm in place on the leg. Crossarm clamps are sold individually and include all necessary hardware.
-
All Rampit USA ramps are attached to platforms using aluminum adapters attached to the ramp’s stringers. These adapters are reversible and can be used for ramps that go up or down. Each adapter pack includes two sets of adapters and hardware:
- (2) Aluminum Adapters
- (2) Angle Brackets
- (6) 1" x 5/16" Carriage Bolts
- (6) 5/16" Washers
- (6) 5/16" Hex Nuts
- (2) 1/4" x 1/2" Self-Tapping Screws
-
90-degree corners are used to create right angles in handrails. All 90-degree corner pieces are sold individually and include an aluminum insert pre-installed on each end. To create handrail corners that are more or less than 90 degrees, please see plastic knuckles.
-
Square ends are used to enclose and terminate the end of a handrail when space may be an issue. Square ends are sold individually and include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured). Rampit USA recommends using ANSI loops whenever space allows.
-
ANSI loops are the rounded ends of Rampit USA handrails. ANSI loops include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured) and can be flipped to angle upwards or downwards.
-
Handrail posts are the main components in all Rampit USA handrails and attach directly to the ramp or platform stringer using the hardware provided in a small bolt pack. Handrail posts are sold individually.
-
The built-in adapter is an optional replacement for the uppermost piece of tread in a ramp section. The built-in adapter extends out beyond the end of the ramp, enabling the ramp to rest on the raised surface. Please select the length built-in adapter that best corresponds to the width of your ramp.
-
Crossarms are available in two different widths and include two crossarm clamps and two leg clamps. Crossarms do not include legs. For a complete assembly including legs, please see support assembly.
-
Platform handrails are sold individually and specifically designed to fit Rampit USA Platforms. The actual length of each handrail, measured end to end, is shown in the chart below. Platform handrails include two handrail posts and two filler tubes for lengths 4' - 8' or three handrail posts and four filler tubes for lengths 9' and 10'. Platform handrails do not include ninety-degree corners or plastic knuckles for connecting multiple handrails.

A support assembly is made up of a crossarm, including two leg clamps and two crossarm clamps, and two complete legs. Support assemblies are installed underneath a ramp and are used to connect two individual ramp sections.
