All Rampit USA ramps are attached to platforms using aluminum adapters attached to the ramp’s stringers. These adapters are reversible and can be used for ramps that go up or down. Each adapter pack includes two sets of adapters and hardware:

Rampit USA Empower Series™ Aluminum Butt Ramps are made of lightweight, high-strength aluminum components that will never rust or corrode and are built to withstand a lifetime of everyday use. The upper end of a Butt Ramp includes two legs that allow the ramp to “butt up” to a raised surface or doorway without interfering with an inward or outward swinging door.

Rampit USA Empower Series™ Aluminum Curb Ramps are made of lightweight, high-strength aluminum components that will never rust or corrode and are built to withstand a lifetime of everyday use. The upper end of a Curb Ramp includes a built-in adapter that hangs off the end of the ramp, enabling the ramp to rest on a door threshold or raised surface. Please note: a Curb Ramp is generally not compatible with an outward swinging door. ANSI loops are the rounded ends of Rampit USA handrails. ANSI loops include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured) and can be flipped to angle upwards or downwards.

The built-in adapter is an optional replacement for the uppermost piece of tread in a ramp section. The built-in adapter extends out beyond the end of the ramp, enabling the ramp to rest on the raised surface. Please select the length built-in adapter that best corresponds to the width of your ramp.

Crossarms are available in two different widths and include two crossarm clamps and two leg clamps. Crossarms do not include legs. For a complete assembly including legs, please see support assembly.

The crossarm clamp is part of a ramp's support assembly and is responsible for holding the crossarm in place on the leg. Crossarm clamps are sold individually and include all necessary hardware.

Handrail posts are the main components in all Rampit USA handrails and attach directly to the ramp or platform stringer using the hardware provided in a small bolt pack. Handrail posts are sold individually.

Leg clamps come in two different sizes and are sold individually. The 1 1/2" leg clamp is part of the crossarm assembly and attaches two individual ramp sections. The 2" leg clamp mounts to the outside of a ramp or platform stringer and is used to attach legs.

Light tread is sold by the foot and comes standard on all residential platforms and portable ramps. When ordering, please select the length of tread needed and the quantity. For ramp tread, please see medium tread. Please contact us for custom lengths not listed below.

All Rampit USA aluminum ramps and platforms are assembled using a series of inter-connected pieces of light and/or medium tread. Medium tread is sold by the foot and comes standard in all Rampit USA ramps and commercial platforms. Please note: there are two different types of medium tread in all Rampit USA ramp sections. The first piece of tread is open on the front and the back and is known as starter tread. All remaining tread on a ramp section is standard medium tread, which is open on the front but closed on the back. When ordering, please select the type of tread, the length needed, and the quantity. Platform handrails are sold individually and specifically designed to fit Rampit USA Platforms. The actual length of each handrail, measured end to end, is shown in the chart below. Platform handrails include two handrail posts and two filler tubes for lengths 4' - 8' or three handrail posts and four filler tubes for lengths 9' and 10'. Platform handrails do not include ninety-degree corners or plastic knuckles for connecting multiple handrails.

Ramp handrails are sold as a set and specifically designed to fit Rampit USA Independence Series Ramps. Ramp handrails are actual size measured from end to end. Each handrail (2 per set) includes two handrail posts and two filler tubes for lengths 4' - 8' or three handrail posts and four filler tubes for lengths 9' and 10' only. Ramp Handrails include a small bolt pack for installation. Square ends, ANSI Loops, Knuckles, Corners, Caps, and inserts needed for terminating or changing handrail direction are all sold separately.

Square ends are used to enclose and terminate the end of a handrail when space may be an issue. Square ends are sold individually and include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured). Rampit USA recommends using ANSI loops whenever space allows.

Stringers are shaped like an upside-down letter "F" and enclose all Rampit USA ramps and platforms. On platforms, two of the four stringers are usually flipped upside-down to create a smooth transition on and off the platform. Platform stringers are cut at 45-degree angles, whereas ramp stringers are cut at 90-degree angles. Stringers are sold individually and cut to the length specified. For a matching set, please add two of the same size to your cart.

A support assembly is made up of a crossarm, including two leg clamps and two crossarm clamps, and two complete legs. Support assemblies are installed underneath a ramp and are used to connect two individual ramp sections.
